Review on Versatile Adjustable Wall Mount with Enhanced Security for Both Indoor and Outdoor Use by Chad Moser

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Bracket fits Arlo Pro 2

Photo 1 shows the camera mounted on an outside wall. Photo 2 shows the part with the included mounting hardware. Photo 3 shows (top) the included screw (bottom) the 1.25" screw and anchor I used instead. Photo 4 shows the included plastic wheel to secure the camera. The mount works very well, but in my opinion the supplied screws are not long enough to attach the mount to the wall. The plastic wheel that is supposed to hold the camera broke during use on each of the three mounts I use. This doesn't seem to change the performance of the item, and I believe it's really unnecessary. All in all, this mount is a great alternative to the Arlo brand mount. While still in the testing phase, I haven't found too many issues. Other than that, I have concerns about the wing nut/des Ball portion of the mount. I found that [hand tightening] did not quite secure the mount as I thought it should. I found that a few taps with a hammer tighten it just enough to keep it from moving. This should also help if you unscrew the camera from the mount to charge the battery. I am deducting 2 stars from the product for the following reasons: The material used to make the mount is of poor quality. This only affects the fastener in relation to the wing nut/ball portion of the fastener. Screws need to be longer for outdoor mounting, supplied screws are too short. The plastic wheel used to stabilize the camera is very fragile and almost unusable. If the quality of the material was better and the mounting screws were longer, I would give the product 4/5 stars. But the product works great if you're willing to experiment a little.
