Let me start by saying that the first project you will do with this workbench will be assembling this workbench. It's almost completely disassembled. crank handles. They say you have to hammer very tight pins into the cranks to attach them to the main screw rods. You'd better have an extra pair of hands to hold the hammer underneath, since the frame is so light you're likely to bend a bit if you try to hammer it in. What worked for me was to press them in place with a c-clip. A pair of pliers will do too. a little different. Some changes I like, others I doubt. Benefits/Improvements: 1. The top is now made from very durable bamboo instead of the cheap laminate the original had. I suspect it will be less prone to chipping than the old ones. The top has three preset positions for one side. So if you need to change large sizes quickly, you don't have to rotate them all day like you used to. Cons: 1. Preset slots do not "lock" the page in a fixed position. This means that when the device is lifted, this side can slide freely and fall out, and not be pinched by the other side.2. Some of the plastic hardware that fits into these pre-installed slots are larger than they should be, making the top very difficult to remove and reposition. As always, a well-made and stable little helper that fills the gaps between the bucks and a full-fledged desktop.
