I have actually used this product to fill a thermal gap in a brick in a wood stove - works great! The gap width was different in several places. This material can stretch to fit a wider gap or fit snugly in a narrow gap. It was the perfect solution for my needs! I have fired the kiln several times (very, very hot) and this material is holding up very well.
