Like many Grand Cherokee owners, I have suffered from power window failures. Instead of paying the dealer over $400 to have it repaired, I repaired it myself in under an hour and at a fraction of the cost. The part is almost identical to the factory part. There are few differences, but they are insignificant (plastic clip versus metal). The only thing that differs is the attachment to the door. The factory part had holes into which a bolt was inserted that went through the door. This part has threaded parts that come out of the door and are secured with a nut. It won't make a difference in performance, but trying to make a setup look exactly like a factory part can get confusing for a few seconds. The installation process is simple. Once you've removed the door panel, you simply take the window off, unscrew and remove the old adjuster, insert the new adjuster, screw in and reattach the window. Like most auto repairs, it requires some skill, but it's a relatively easy process. If you need any help or guidance on how to remove the interior trim leave a comment and I will reply or direct you to some detailed instructions.
