I needed an external drive for my PS4 library so I could play the games I still wanted to play without the terrible internal storage of the internal PS5 -Storage (Really Sony? 500GB, like PS4 when it was released? 750GB - 1TB would be more reasonable!). PS4 has SATA 3Gb/s and PS4 Pro has SATA 6Gb/s for the drive's internal interface, so an SSD makes more sense than a high-speed HDD to slow down the download speed. Paired with a 2 TB Western Digital Blue SSD, everything has been running smoothly and quickly ever since. However, mine came with a USB-C to USB-C cable, not USB-C to USB-A as shown in the picture. Be warned, if you plan to use it with a PS4 or PS5 3.5 SSD or HDD, you'll need to connect it to your PC first to format it! Otherwise no one will recognize him. It must be formatted in exFAT, not FAT32.
