DIY Water Filter Best in Kitchen & Bathroom Fixtures

Media failed to load. In response to a review saying dust makes it unusable, I'm showing my setup as in the picture. I only had to wash the dust off once the first time and from there reuse the same medium to fill 2x 5 gallon containers now for the 4th time in almost 2 months. I drilled 2 small holes in the container lid that I cut off (I used a metal lid from another container). Filling 5 liter jugs takes about 2 hours. I don't sit and watch. I synchronize the fill flow with the speed of the drops and go. To fill the jugs I use my old filter tap which comes with a 3 stage body. Well, at least I ended up finding a use for it. So no more $20 filters that promise 20,000 gallons but only last about a month. It lasts maybe 6 months maybe longer and the water it filters tastes great. Better than any filters I've tried and I've tried many different paid brands hoping for better results that never worked. My cats love drinking this water so I can tell when it's time to change the filters when cats stop drinking. So far they are absorbing it until no more change is needed and it has been almost 2 months. My setup isn't very good and the slightest bump will tip over and the whole counter will be wet charcoal. But that only happened once, and I decided it would be best to remove the charcoal and set it somewhere before moving the jars. So in any case, you can customize it the way you want. You can speed up the flow and add a carbon capture mesh so you can fill the tank quickly. You only have to flush the charcoal once. not every time you need to drink water lol. light up. And yes, it takes time to remove all the dust. Maybe 10-15 minutes. NOT 2 hours. Simply rinse and pour into a saucepan until the water runs clear. and you can go for 6 months, at least maybe longer. I am VERY happy with the results. The advantage of this system is that once the containers have been filled, the charcoal dries and remains in the corner until it is used again. In the filter housing, the filters simply lie in standing water and form a slimy residue on the plastic disks. Bullshit Buy this and set up your own system. You will not regret it
