Works great: Blender Parts & Accessories

This will be a useful tool in my kitchen. The food slicer worked well but cuts quite thin. The cheese grater attachment is excellent. A traditional cheese grater keeps my nails snagging, but that rules it out completely. I had never made sausage before so it was a very new but fun experience. I wasn't referring to the sausage, but I made chicken sausage for the pasta dish I made and it turned out great! I took two chicken thighs, boned them and removed as much skin and fat as I could, then cut the meat into about 1 inch cubes. I attach the blender to the stand, set the speed to 5 and go! You simply place the meat on the top tray and slide it down the tube and the spiral section slowly pushes the meat into the meat grinder. It extrudes exactly as if you played with a specific brand of baby clay. When all the legs were mashed, I added some spices to the bowl and mixed it all up. Then I put the covered meat in the fridge until it was cold enough to put in freezer bags and then vacuum sealed the sausage for the next day. It turned out great! Cleaning the meat grinder and nozzles requires effort. The vegetable and cheese attachments are very easy to clean. However, the meat grinder requires some work to clean it. The included "brush" is a pathetic joke for a brush. It is more suitable for a feather duster as the bristles appear to be made of the lightest material known to man. I wouldn't recommend putting anything metal in the dishwasher as I'm sure the steel will rust over time. All plastic parts can be washed in the dishwasher, but do not put metal parts in there. This is a great kitchen tool or a good gift.
