    Must be plugged in the right way

    Other than the fact that the plug has to be in the 'right way' they work great. At first I thought it wouldn't work at all and then I turned the plug around. It should work regardless of the direction of the connector.

    Works as expected with USB 3

    Instead of juggling a few extra USB-C and USB-A peripherals I was happy to add them to my kit. to see the performance of USB 3 that I expected and not the degraded performance of USB 2.

    USB 2.0 speeds are good for computers and accessories

    I only get USB 3.0 speeds when the cables are plugged in a certain orientation (rotating the USB cable 180 turns the speed up to USB 2.0 reduced) and there is no obvious at first glance to determine in which mode it works. The attached images show the difference in speed with a USBC hard drive, the only difference between runs is the cable orientation.

    Nice but dated USB to USB adapters

    A night of reviews. Of course, with Gen 3.1 in the picture, I found them easily myself, so they immediately ended up in my shopping cart while I was looking for something closer to what I had in mind. It sticks out like a sore thumb on my black laptop, but I'm not complaining. They're cute and I love that they were affordable and made from a metal-like material. (Metal clangs on metal, not knocks). But no complaints so far and I'm glad there are two so your partner can use one or you can use on

    Use on USB-C Hub - Computers and Accessories

    Purchased J5 Create USB-C Hub JCA374 for my laptop. Such a hub has a USB-C connection, which should actually only be used for power supply. However, my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ smartphone came with USB-C headphones, which I plan to connect to this hub even during a conference call. The Electop USB 3.1 Type-C Female to USB-A Male Adapter allows me to connect my headphones to any of the hub's USB-A ports. These adapters fit perfectly, look great and work great with sound! 😁

    I have these adapters so I can use some USB-C cables with standard size USB 2 and 3 connectors. They work perfectly and as advertised. They are a bit longer than similar ones I have, but that doesn't matter and isn't a downside to these adapters.

    This is not real USB 3.1

    I have tried both devices I bought on both computers for data and a couple of fast chargers for charging speed. It charges at normal or slower speeds and transfers data no better than USB 2.0. This looks like a fake interface scam to make it look like a USB 3.1 adapter. I am using high speed cables which should allow for faster transfer and charging speeds. I ran 3 different cables to make sure it wasn't a cable issue. Don't waste money on this one.

    Not friends with Apple in the Computers & Accessories category

    This product was completely useless with the new iPad Pro with USB-C. It was never recognized by a Mac with a USB-A port, nor was it recognized by an iPad when attempting to charge it from a wall outlet. Waste of money for this purpose

    Do you like USB 3.1 speed on USB 3.1 adapters? Me too, so initially I was very, VERY disappointed with the performance of this adapter when I first tried it. I only got USB 2.0 speeds with my external NVME drive. 40MB/s? What is this, 2011? After some experimentation, it turned out that you need to point the USB-C connector in a certain direction to get the right data transfer speeds. This defeats the purpose of USB-C, and again you have to ask yourself "did I plug it in correctly?". Two stars…
