
The chisel can definitely drill through the support very well. But when it comes time to get it out of the hole you just made, it can be a little tricky if you don't know how. So basically it needs to have a long flute length so that the wood chips can continue to be ejected as the chisel moves down the auger. The length of the flute is a little short so it no longer ejects wood chips, making it difficult to pull the cutter back when you're done building. But you can easily figure out how to retract the knife, it just takes a little longer.
