The sound is good, you definitely need an amplifier in the back. 3 stars for the installation. They were a bit low for the back of a 2010 Honda Civic. They hit the trunk torsion springs that hold the trunk open, the speaker jacks were also large and hit the floor and the front doors even hit the exit brackets, the rear floor had to be trimmed, the speakers in the front doors had to be turned small and new installed. Holes are drilled in the brackets to fit. Sounds ok without the amp, I'll update the sound when the amp comes and install it
