Unless you look carefully at the one picture of these devices with the packet of leads they are meant to sharpen you could easily be mislead by the picture enlargement. These are not small. They are tiny (actual diameter of the plastic cover is less than 5/8" while the pictures on my screen range from twice that up to 3"). And way overpriced. They operate smoothly, however. The point, while longer than what new leads come with, is not the long point that is most desirable. And I wouldn't put one in my pocket without making sure it was empty. I will use them, however.
