Great Carrier

I bought this to fly from California to Wisconsin over Christmas. My Mini Schnauzer puppy has never been on an airplane. He weighs approximately 16 pounds and 13 inches at the shoulder. As some people have said, it was quite difficult to guide the support cables all the way (not in an arc) by myself, but I was able to do it with a little muscle strength. . That was all I had to do to put it together since the arc shaped wires were already inserted. It would probably be easier with two people. However, it is a very durable medium. I didn't hear any chatter from the airline staff and it fitted nicely under the seats. I took my pup in the car a couple of times before the trip and he did great. I'm 5'11" and I still don't feel too tight. Pros: Hard plastic that slides on the bottom keeps the bottom from sagging. The foam pillow is soft and comfortable for my pup. The front door opens easily and is a strong mesh for your pet to look out, or it can be covered with velcro that rolls up when your pet prefers not to look out. There are also 2 small vents on the top that open can be used as vents or left closed. The front top can be fully opened so you can reach and check on your pet. Back is another one. All those vents make it nice when the plane gets stuffy. The 4 point Shoulder strap is great as it frees your hands to carry other luggage Poles for more compact storage I took out the side rails which Much easier to take out than it was to put in and I hope I won't regret next time I use them, but it made storage a little easier.
