I've been looking at a variety of cases for my new MacBook for months and on the perfect day I pulled the trigger to get these. I thought it was cute, I liked that the photos show a transparent cover that shows the color of the computer and it will not be too much design. It didn't feel that personal. I was very disappointed to see that it is a matte dull color so not fully transparent so it looks really cheap. The butterflies are cute but are printed upside down when open. At first I thought I put the lid upside down so I tried turning it upside down but no, I was right the first time, the printing on mine is just weird. I put it on and it popped right out. Yes I have the correct model number, it just won't stay in place when you open the laptop and further than 90 degrees. There is no screen tilt at all. I saw a review of another case that said the screen cracked when opening and closing the case multiple times. With that in mind, I didn't want to risk it on this one, so I didn't want to try and test how wide I could open it. But no matter how far I got, just a little bit or just enough to just barely see the screen, it kept popping up. I tried putting the lid back on and when it was closed I was about to lift the laptop for just a second and the lid flew off in my hand causing the laptop to fall. Luckily only a few inches and a pillow, but if I tried to lift him off the bed it could get bad. It really didn't look good with it, and the MacBook looked awful. Really looked like a cheap piece of plastic on an expensive car. Now it's clear that this is a cheap case, and in better times it was even cheaper. So I really wasn't expecting anything high class. But at least I wanted it to fit and look good while providing some protection for the laptop. Now that I can see what the covers look like in general, I've given up on them altogether. I'm sorry, but that was a big mistake for me.
