This is a very simple device. While not as feature rich as some similar devices with flashing lights and more modes, it works well for our dogs (well at least 2 of them, our third dog seems to be trying to ignore it), it still works for our dogs . Our cat. When I first used it next to our cat, she ran so fast she couldn't even get a bit of a foothold on our shiny tile floors. The device did not elicit the same panic response in our 3 dogs, but it was still very effective. Our two dogs seem quick to understand that we want them to stop whatever they are doing when the device is in use. Without a doubt, this device not only works, but works very well. This is a great training tool that can be used quickly and easily to break bad behavior in dogs. I just hope it holds up over time and our dogs don't get used to it. I almost forgot to mention that this device also charges via a USB-C port. This design element is great considering most similar devices will likely try to sneak in via the bottom micro-USB port.
