I have to give these booties a 3-star rating not 5-star

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan so I thought these, with their rubber bottom, would be perfect to protect my baby's paws (11 year old Doberman) from the cold snow and ice. And they WOULD have been perfect if they were a bit easier to put on. The velcro is ideal but if you didn't get it tight enough when starting out, by the time you took a bit of a walk, they would slip and the dog was not walking on the rubber part but on the material part which defeats the purpose.
