I like the look of this lifejacket and its design/construction. It looked well made and was very attractive and streamlined. However, I returned it. I ordered a size that was large enough for my dog at the large end of the circumference. However, the fabric tabs didn't overlap and didn't have Velcro to hold them in place when they overlapped. This may not be a problem unless you are trying to lift a large dog out of the water onto a boat. Not only do I like straps under my dog's belly, I want soft fabric there. I kayak with a 55 pound dog and sometimes I have to tow the dog back on board by the life jacket handle. The underbelly padding is an absolute must to prevent the straps from cutting into the dog's stomach. I sent it back but of course I want it to work.
