Since I don't sleep well at night, a friend suggested I try a weighted blanket. Got a good deal on this one over the holidays and thought it might be worth a try. It works like magic! I never slept through more than one night and only when I was exhausted. Then I used this thing. I slept through every night I used it! The disadvantage is that a housing is actually required. I was able to order it later, but it is recommended not to wash it more than once a year. The cover is necessary to be able to wash regularly. Otherwise, I'm a huge fan and would recommend it to anyone like me with sleeping issues. And no, it does NOT overwhelm me, even though I thought 30 pounds might feel like. This is exactly the amount of weight that allows me to sleep soundly and soundly every night.
