Review on 🌀 Powerful Vornado 143 Whole Room Air Circulator Tower Fan, 29" Black - Timer & Remote Control Included! by David Miller

Bought hoping to have a good room fan. Based on previous Vornado products I've had in the past I expected more and am a little disappointed with what it is. Description and history of these products I expected this item to be more airy than all the others. I expected the lowest setting to be more than enough for my bedroom based on the description that said this unit would push air out 70 feet. Yes No. I'm maybe ten feet away and can barely feel the air. These are not old Vornado products. I got it at the highest level and it's not what I expected. The whole design of the curved air outlet to disperse the air more than 180 degrees is both a benefit and a curse. It's great for the center of a room, but when you need it to hit a specific spot, you only get a small fraction of that 180 degrees, with the rest scattered all over the place. I'm not happy with the product, just didn't live up to my expectations based on my history with this brand. High speed isn't that fast, certainly not at 70 feet. The remote control must always be 1 foot away for it to work. Assembly requires a small screwdriver for the base and even less for the remote battery. Great for spreading, but not so powerful for targeting specific areas of the room. It seems that the build quality has dropped a bit compared to the old same brand. UPDATE After using this for a while I want to update a few things. The fan blows quite decently, not as it seems in the description, but enough for a normal sized living room. At height I can feel about 15-20 inches of air, with a medium setting up to 10 inches there is no problem. At these levels the noise is tolerable and ideal for white noise to help you fall asleep when at low levels you don't even know what that thing is, it's so quiet. I still don't think it's as good as the older products and the plastic seems cheaper on the side, but would consider again if the need returns.
