They feel less rigid, more pliable, and seem less sturdy than the originals but when I weighed them the originals weighed 2 oz (56 grams) and the new ones weighed 2.05 oz (58 grams) each which was surprising to me. After several uses, they seemed to work just like the original seal. One thing however.If you are buying these because the old seal has absorbed an odor just be aware that the new ones absorbed an odor too after just one use. Make one pot of chili or sauerkraut and your seal will be that odor forever apparently. Maybe you just need two seals: spicy & bland.
