I'll start with a little TL:DR first in case people just want pros and cons instead of reading a long review. Pros: 1. Super strong magnets (guaranteed to be stronger than expected).2. Extremely durable construction means you don't have to worry about needing a case for it.3. The speaker becomes very loud.4. The waterproof latch for the interface is better than any I've come across.5. Has a micro SD slot in case you go somewhere that doesn't have music streaming. Cons: 1. Low level leaves much to be desired.2. There is no app that lets you play around with the equalizer. It's actually a lot better than I expected! I bought this to replace an old Oontz Bluetooth speaker I've had for a while. The speaker still worked, but it wasn't holding a charge as well anymore, and when I got off course it broke off a bit. I chose this speaker over buying the new Oontz (which I really liked) because I didn't want to fiddle with a strap or anything to attach it to the golf cart and this speaker looked like it would be a lot sturdier. After opening the package, the first thing I checked was the magnetic force and the speaker itself. The magnet is a big plus on this speaker, I have a computer desk I built and the legs are welded 2" square steel tubing. I wasn't expecting the magnets to be that strong so I decided to put it on my table leg to test it out, as soon as I closed it the magnets pulled the speaker out of my hand and attached it to my table leg. It was fine on its own, but I was surprised when I tried to pull it back out. The amount of force I had to expend to get it out, I don't care how bumpy the fairways or bumps are on your local course, they don't knock this thing out for nothing. Sound where many people are likely to be disturbed. The thing gets really loud, so loud I didn't even test it above 50% volume. There's no distortion about how loud it gets, and unless your course is just talking about the path of the cart and you accidentally hit it on the other side of the fairway, you won't have a problem hearing music through his star, the bottoms are a little missing. I usually pride myself on having a very good sound and I usually like my audio gear to have a fairly flat response curve so I can use whatever EQ I need to change it up at will. It has very clear highs above the mids, but the lows start to fall off. However, I doubt this would be a problem for me on the course. The other made huge benefits for me that were totally unexpected, and although small, quite big things for the comfort of being, is a power socket door and a micro SD reader, which I didn't have. I do not know was on this speaker. The waterproof flap that covers the AUX port, charging port and micro SD reader closes with a pleasant click, letting you know it's really closed. It's also a bit difficult to open, which is great with something like this. You know it won't just open randomly. As for the micro SD reader, I wasn't expecting it and didn't think I'd need it, but it's definitely something I could use in the future. I tend to try as many golf courses as possible and this sometimes leads me to clubs where I don't have good phone service at all. Well, it's a bit difficult to stream music without a service. Unless you can just pop in an SD card and you're done. It may be something used only once in Blue Moon, but it shows how much thought went into this speaker.
