Review on Dot Large Packing Cubes: The Ultimate Travel Accessories for Efficient Packing and Organizing by Lauren Jackson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great to have! Here are the details.

We have a family member who has trouble planning and organizing. With these suitcase organizers, she can rummage through her belongings even in a large holdall without making much of a mess. I'm considering Dot & Dot vs Shacke as both have been recommended and stand out from the rest. I'll admit I haven't used them in years, but I feel like they're a good investment. Large size is good for storing multiple items, sweaters, beach towels; We prefer the medium size for clothing. The quality of Dot & Dot is excellent - durable, well ventilated, washable and lightweight. The black color you see in the product photos is the zipper. Binding is colored material and binding is external (unlike Shacke). This makes Dot & Dot significantly lighter than the heavy-duty tape used in Shacke organizers. Both brands are stitched with even stitching and feature free-moving zippers. Dot & Dot grips attach with a wide zigzag stitch, using an extra section of fabric on the bottom to protect against tearing (unlike the Shacke). Dot & Dot attaches a row of medium length stitches to secure the zipper tape (one on each side of the zipper). Shacke uses two lines of very long stitches. The Dot & Dot colors are soft but bright, while the Shacke colors are dark. Dot&Dot fabric is quieter and less crispy. I love the tiny Dot & Dot Hive print. I prefer Dot&Dot because of its lighter weight.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
