If you want to reliably measure the temperature, then buy just such thermometers, and not electronic junk, which all pharmacies and shops are now littered with. Its pros: Safe because it does not contain mercury. If you set it correctly and hold it for as long as you need, then the readings are absolutely correct. Much more accurate than electronic thermometers, most of which I generally consider complete profanity. Cons below: It needs to be shaken for quite a long time and intensively in order to bring down the previous readings. : Bought a second one. It is excellent, quickly and easily shaken off.
