It opens and closes very smoothly and fits my Galaxy s20+ with a punk style body that is quite wide and tall. I feel like there are some design flaws. The worst thing for me is that the unlock button is on the back and it takes some force to press, which means you have to put your thumb on the phone screen and your finger on the unlock button and press to unlock the phone, the it's not enough pressure to damage the phone but i don't like it, i'm so used to my old mount that i could press the button on the side and it released my phone, it requires more effort and care. The other downside isn't that big, but the prongs on the bottom of the holder extend 2 clicks, but even when fully extended almost half of my phone sticks out of the top of the holder. My phone is extra large so I know it will. It doesn't matter to most, but I also know there are bigger phones than mine. I wish they would make the forks optional, either buy them stacked or take them off. Overall the holder is ok, I bought it to replace my old CD holder I bought at Walmart which broke. This holder seems to be of much higher quality so I'm planning on keeping it for a while, I'll update if I run into any issues.
