After going to hell with the keys, I bought a more expensive 2018 13-inch MacBook with 4 USB-C ports. Along with my laptop's power input which only has 3 ports, I'm glad I went for the 13" MBP with 4 ports instead of 2. If you have a 2-port MBP, you need an external USB power hub for extra power. Side note: I was tempted to use a 2-port MBP to avoid the touchpad as I like having an escape key.
