Works with Cinema Display 30

I have a new HP Specter X360 laptop (2017) and it only has a USB-C output (my old laptop had a Mini DisplayPort) so I needed an adapter . The problem is that I still have an old Apple Cinema Display 30 that only supports DVI-D (and Apple's spirited mDP-to-DVI active adapter). After three USB-C adapters, I finally saw reviews on this one that mention the ACD30. First try and everything worked perfectly. Full resolution 2560x1600. 3 full days of work and not a single problem.

Works with Full Resolution Cinema Display!

After much searching I was happy to have found this product that allows me to use my old Cinema Display with the new USBC/Thunderbolt 3 full resolution connection. 2560 x 1600. I'm happy to say that it works great upon arrival. You will still need the dual-link adapter you used previously, as well as a USB converter so that it can also be connected to the USBC port.

Perfect solution for my 2016 MacBook Pro with TouchBar and Cinema Display with Mini-DisplayPort

I ordered my 15" MacBook Pro with TouchBar in late December/early January and I love it! a very nice and practical one feature and I found it more useful than I originally thought. Nothing about this machine disappointed me, but I was deeply saddened that Apple didn't sell a USB-C port for a mini display.This made it physically impossible to use my beloved 27 " Using the Apple Cinema Display with my awesome new computer! Works great when 2018 MBP is connected to Mini DisplayPort Dual-Link DVI Adapter

After going to hell with the keys, I bought a more expensive 2018 13-inch MacBook with 4 USB-C ports. After finding out that there was no USB-C to Dual-Link DVI adapter to connect to my ASUS monitor at 2560 x 1440, everything worked fine for me with this adapter. Works with Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter

I connected my previous iMac to an additional monitor using the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter. I wanted to connect this additional monitor to my new 2017 iMac which only supports USB C. The additional monitor only supported DVI. This adapter allowed me to connect my new iMac to the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter that connects to my secondary monitor. Works perfectly.

Fits 30 " Apple Cinema Monitor (Dual-Link DVI to Mini DisplayPort Adapter) / MacbookPro 2016 Touch Bar

Bought to connect my 30" Apple Cinema Monitor (Dual-Link DVI) to Mini DisplayPort my 2016 MacbookPro with Touch Bar. This works very well. Essentially, I connected a Mini DisplayPort to a USB-C adapter; I then plugged the dual link DVI adapter's USB port into another USB-C port using the USB-C to USB adapter and magically got a beautiful high-resolution full-screen display! Very happy.

Update February 12, 2016: I updated this review shortly after it was posted, but the edit doesn't seem to be sticking! I was wrong.
