White sponges for a black lamp?
The hook above the door is functional and does what I want. Overall, the black metal hook looks nice on its own. However, I had to put on all four white sponges to sit properly on my door. At least 1/4 inch white really opposes the black hook. So if you need a coat hook to crochet and don't need a white sponge, go for it. If you choose to do this for aesthetic reasons, keep in mind that you may need to go to a craft store to have the sponges replaced or possibly dyed.
