Great device for my obscure use case

I had an unclear purpose for this device: to use it as a PC replacement. I have a huge server with 3 graphics cards that I'm hoping to manage the heat, tech support and noise of multiple gaming PCs in one central location. There is an HDMI cable from the NVIDIA GTX graphics card to the transmitter, a USB cable and a power adapter. Right now there is about a 10 foot Ethernet cable connecting the transmitter to the receiver. I have a 27" Dell UDH 60Hz monitor, a Razer Huntsman keyboard and a Razer Basilisk mouse connected to the receiver. My Bose speakers connect to the monitor via a 3.5mm jack. An ESXi virtual machine running Windows 10 Pro. This device works fine. I haven't run FPS games (it's not mine) but the games and movies I've played are awesome. I don't see any lag and video and audio match in movies. Now that I have my full usage case works great, I will be moving the server to a tech closet in my house and the ethernet will be (for the farthest workstation) about 100ft, the other two will be about 30ft each, if I notice a 100ft lag I will update my review but for now I intend to buy 2 more of these units once we move the server and RX sides and I can't see any lags. I asked one of the adult children to install and play the game and they didn't notice any delays either.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
