Review on 💾 BASEQI Aluminum microSD Adapter for Dell XPS 15" (Model 9550) – Seamless Storage Expansion for 2016 Edition by Nicholas Suave

Works great in my Dell XP15 (9550) with Sandisk Ultra 200GB microSD card. 80+ MB/s read speed for large files. The write speed is about 10-16 depending on the file size, which is suitable for this ultra-class 200GB Sandisk card. This allowed me to move a bunch of files to the microSD and off the main SSD! It fits the laptop at the same level. and has a nice solid construction. *One caveat* When deployed during laptop cold boot, it significantly increases boot time. The laptop stays on the Dell Logo bios screen for 30-60 seconds before even trying to boot. Tried disabling USB boot in bios, didn't help. I also updated the BIOS to the latest version from Dell. However, pre-boot extraction ensures a normal start and the laptop boots in 10-12 seconds. Hopefully Dell will fix this issue in a future BIOS update. This has no effect on the machine's switch-on time. when waking up from sleep.
