Perfect fit for Dell XPS 15.

If you are like you I used the wrong size adapter and it went too far leaving it stuck in your laptop for 2 months. If you're like me, you'll have to craft a special little tool to pull out the adapter, with a lot of swearing and swearing. This one just fits. It's easy to hook it with the edge of the nail to pull it out. I am enthusiastic about the memory expansion without a USB stick hanging on the side. Tested on Windows 10 and Linux, no problems.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Storage expansion for less money!

I bought this because my cousin has one for his Surface Book (a different model of course) to expand his internal storage. I have an XPS 9570 model, 2018. I could upgrade my hard drive but it would cost more than buying a microSD card adapter, after all I only store photos and videos on it and everything I open every day is on my M2 -Drive saved. So far it's working pretty well, it's not the fastest but it gets the job done and it was what I was looking for. I recommend it and would buy itโ€ฆ

Good choice for semi-permanent storage

Pretty good quality! A little pricey for what it is, but if you want a semi-permanent SD storage upgrade, go for it. Easy enough to pull out but the fit is tight. Someone mentioned that it's not fast, but that's completely inaccurate as speed is only determined by your microSD card. The only thing this does is lengthen the copper traces. Choose a fast card and you will be happy. Best value is in the $10-$15 range, which is still higher than adapters, but I can't imagine they making a smallโ€ฆ

Good for HP Z-Book

I have an HP Z-Book with a half height SD slot. I couldn't find any adapters that explicitly list my computer. So I measured the connector that HP supplies for the slot and tried to compare it to a set of half-height adapters. I eventually gave up on that too, since many were obviously wrong sizes (for example, 1.5" x 2" is absurd). So I'm guessing this one. As an adapter it works perfectly. And I appreciate its pretty solid aluminum construction. Unfortunately for the Z-Book, it can be one toโ€ฆ

Great adapter to expand storage on Dell XPS15.

Works great in my Dell XP15 (9550) with Sandisk Ultra 200GB microSD card. 80+ MB/s read speed for large files. The write speed is about 10-16 depending on the file size, which is suitable for this ultra-class 200GB Sandisk card. This allowed me to move a bunch of files to the microSD and off the main SSD! It fits the laptop at the same level. and has a nice solid construction. *One caveat* When deployed during laptop cold boot, it significantly increases boot time. The laptop stays on the Dellโ€ฆ
