Review on 📏 Starrett 11H 6 4R 6 Inch Combination Wrinkle: Precision Tool for Accurate Measurements by Tony Korek

I've had other Starret products and I have to say this one doesn't fit me. Firstly, the glossy finish is difficult to read and on the one I received, after six months I developed vertical streaks which can be seen in the attached photos. These grooves are similar in size to factory engraved lines, making them very difficult to read. I contacted the seller and they basically told me I have 30 days to replace it. Well, at this price I didn't expect to face such a defect in a couple of months. I believe the scratches are caused by the tuning knob sitting tightly in and out of the vertical grooves. Funny, I have a $8.00 Lowes 6" combo square that's only 1/64th the size of the Starret and has a satin finish that's still legible. Very disappointed in Travers Tool for not replacing this one or even trying to work with me on this purchase.
