Make sure you get a perfect fit

Ease of install - definitely helps with two people, three people and a level would be better so two can hold it in place steadily and a third to twist the knobs so four stars there. Sturdiness: the tension on the wall holds it up but lets see how long it holds with a two year old running around. Lock: the door works great, stays open at 90 degrees, swivels both ways, and stays shut when closed. Here is the rub, I measured my opening at exactly 43.3 inches. That is the threshold between two extension pieces and using all three. If I used two then it doesn't fit because the bolts are out at their maximum limit and won't hold. Using all three it was too tight to fit the exact space. You can see in the picture that I had to put mine on the trim, not ideal but it is working so far. Also, the wall protector cups have to be screwed into the drywall which I didn't want to use and the "sticky" pads are not great. I also included a picture of the dog and the width of the bars. 4-5 pounder and she cannot squeeze through the bars, cannot get under it (I put mine just above the baseboard) and there is no one for her to hold onto to climb out, so far so good. I saw one comment about the bar along the bottom. When the gate is open a bar stays in position that must be stepped over. Not sure if that is fixable otherwise there would be no tension. Being that mine is 2 inches off the ground will just take time to get used to. If possible put yours flush with the floor to reduce this issue.
