About twice the size of our previous one but looks like it could last three times as long and still looks decent. The blade guard is too flimsy for most people to consciously take the time to take it off and put it back on after use, which is a shame because it would really help. It would be great if it could be upgraded to a more secure plastic snap-on blade guard like other brands, namely because this blade is huge and would give more confidence to the dish drawer crowd to keep the blade closed when we put our hands in it, to fish out something else.
