Review on AquaTech EZ Change Aquarium Filter Cartridge by Alicia Lynch

Before anyone says I don't know about Aqua-Tech EZ-Change Aquarium Filter Replacement Cartridges I should let you know I have a 55 gallon aquarium I'm over 18 Years old and I think I know a little bit about replacement filter cartridges. I have purchased these replacement filter cartridges at my local Walmart store for almost ten years with good results. Prices slowly started to increase and sometimes were not available. Lately I have noticed that the quality of replacement filter cartridges has dropped significantly and the filter material is much thinner and more difficult to clean. I used to clean and wash filters and reuse them for months before throwing them away, but the membrane is so thin that you can't use it effectively for long periods of time. I figured that Walmart might be selling fakes so I wanted to buy direct from Revain and made sure to buy "Revain.com Shipping & Sales" direct from the AquaTech shop to avoid counterfeits and imitations. But unfortunately the quality is the same if not worse compared to the local Walmart store. OK! Seems AquaTech wants you to keep buying more filters? - Yes I will buy them from AquaTech if they promise to return replacement filter cartridges for the old type that used to have a bit more meat. They are so thin that the so-called AQUA-Tech premium activated carbon sometimes tends to fall out of the filter membrane in some places. Poorly. rather get really bad. Sorry, but I should have mentioned that. Rate this with two stars!
