I had a big problem with the power cord that comes with the SurfacePro. It is frayed at the attachment point on the AC transformer. On my latest model, I went through more than three power cords while the computer was running. This cable design actually appears to be more durable. Hopefully, but so far so good! I also love the velcro that keeps everything folded up in my backpack. I would still recommend packing everything in some sort of container (at least a ziplock bag) for added protection. I'm pretty rough with things and still worry that these plastic tipped cables might break over time.
