On the eve of Christmas it was quite difficult to think about what to buy to please the kids. But it's very painful to see how much of that stuff ends up in the landfill after a week or so. I've been trying to find meaningful gifts that really contribute to a child's development (compared to a $20 bath bar that lasts 2 weeks). This camera is a keeper, and while it costs a little more than stocking budget, I think its ability to last through next Christmas is totally worth the price. Gave it to my friends 7 year old daughter. It hasn't left her hands since she received it. She takes it everywhere and doesn't let anyone touch her precious gift lol. Pros: 1080p video quality, timer works well, AI feature is really cool, battery life is good. We have 1 week of random use from 1 charge. The best thing about this camera is the ability to transfer images wirelessly to your smartphone. No matter how good the camera, if copying photos to a shared device is difficult, it takes all the fun out of it for kids and adults alike. A few drops on a wooden floor with no damage, although I'm not sure about the concrete floor. Dragon touch customer service is fast and reliable. Cons - The delete function could be more obvious. The addition of a suitcase would be nice to have, even if it adds a few bucks to the price.
