Review on Polycom SoundStation IP 5000 - PoE Powered (Power Supply Excluded) by Irene Rodriguez

I bought this phone and a PoE injector. The phone was on, but the ethernet port was not working. It is not possible to update or program or use the software on the phone if the ethernet port is bad. Unfortunately, as we were building a conference room, the item was already out of the return window when I unpacked it. and could not get a remedy from Revain or Prime Seller. It took me 2 months to work with Polycom to get an RMA to have this unit replaced under a 1 year manufacturer warranty. One of the reasons? The unit was already registered in Europe so not new as advertised. I will send the defective device back to Polycom and they will send me a replacement. And because I bought a deal that was too good to be true, it would be almost 6 months before I got a working phone. I've learned my lesson. I just buy a pre-built phone from my VoIP provider and give the bazaar junk dealers their own devices.
