Terrible, breaks easily under the weight of monitor cables and adhesive won't stick to plastic

Bought these to tidy up some cables at my desk. The connecting part breaks after approx. 3 months and the self-adhesive backing detaches from the melamine board. I could use them in a computer case or an electronics case but they are useless for cable management.
