UPDATE - November 29, 2010: Small update to say I still love this camera as much as the first day I used it. Since writing this review I've tried a few other cameras - the Nikon L18 and L20 and even the new Panasonic Lumix ZS1 - and none of them could match it, except for the ZS1. ************** ***************************** I have received this camera on multiple days and I'm totally thrilled. I've tried Kodak, Pentax, Canon and even Nikon Coolpix and this Panasonic TZ4 wins by far. It has 8.1 MP and is equipped with a Leica glass lens with 10x optical zoom. Leica makes some of the best lenses in the world. They are made in JAPAN, not China! The body almost looks like a metal camera, and maybe some of them are, but most of this camera is made out of high quality, heavy plastic. Best of all, it's not really a 10x optical zoom. If you're shooting at any resolution of 6MP or less, you can use OPTICAL zoom up to OPTICAL 15.9! And he takes great pictures. I've always had handshakes while taking photos, and I've never had a single blurry shot, even when photographing my cats - and they never stand still. These are the best night portraits and night shots I've ever taken. visible. I can't wait to bring this camera to the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum - the last camera I took there was a Fuji and most of my shots turned out poorly due to the poor lighting in the museum. If you have an iA (intelligent autofocus) steering wheel installed, you don't even have to press the macro button to take a close-up - the sensor adjusts and does it automatically. This.
