I have a new laptop with 4 Thunderbolt I/O and I need 2 rectangular ports in my current desk configuration to make power and data connections as convenient as possible. These adapters make it possible! I'm running power from a 130-watt charger through one of them and data to an external ultra-wide monitor through the other. Several reviewers have noted that data throughput when using these adapters may not meet the 50Mbps Thunderbolt 3 standard, but so far I have not noticed any performance degradation from using one of these adapters when connected to my monitor. It's possible to see pixelation or other artifacts when trying to play, and it's easy enough to tell if it's the adapter by simply removing it, but I haven't gotten that far. Interestingly, the product description states that "right and left corner" adapters are included - in a USB-C/Thunderbolt configuration there is no difference!
