I was concerned about using third party ink because of the chip Brother uses in their toner. The replacement toner worked fine for about 5 months, but now it no longer works. My printer no longer recognizes the chip and is prompting me to replace the toner. Looking closely at the toners, it turns out that the chip they come with has a battery (the Brother chip that came in my starter cartridge doesn't have a battery) and I'm assuming that it does the battery is empty, so the chip no works longer. Luckily I kept my previous toner cartridge so I could move the chip to keep using the toner. Be sure to keep your old chip when replacing the toner in case you have the same problem as me. I've contacted ez ink support (they provide a nice sticker so you know how to get to them) and I'll update if/if I get a response from them. UPDATE: ez Ink Support was very quick to respond and refunded my money. I give 4 stars for good support.
