I am a person who under normal circumstances has little faith in ropes and parachutes. But whether it was an emergency and I had no other choice, that's another question entirely! This thin rope is rated for over 3,000 pounds breaking strength and I generally believe it. If I needed a rope to save my life in an emergency, I would use it without hesitation. Well whether I previously chose this rope or a more expensive rope for my emergency gear. THAT would depend on how likely it is that I assess that I will encounter an emergency. For my mostly normal and quiet life, this rope is good insurance. Or, more likely, I use it to pull a dead tree to fall off my house when I cut it down. Or for my boat anchor. Or screw furniture to the bed of my truck.
