We were on vacation outside the US when my daughter's headphones left a plug in her iPad. Headphones and external speakers no longer work. We went to one of those Fix Your Phone shops and they worked on it for 15 minutes with no success. Luckily the audio works with Bluetooth headphones. I did a quick search on Google and Revain and found this product. I thought for $10 I can't go wrong. For the first three tries, I followed the instructions, felt the tube slip over part of the headphone, tapped it lightly a few times, and tried to pull it out with my hands. no On the fourth try, I did the same thing, except I pulled the receiver out with a pair of pliers and I grabbed the receiver closest to the iPad, pressing the slot in the receiver to squeeze harder on the headphone portion. I slowly pulled out the tube and there was a piece! Wow! It was worth the dollars spent even if it didn't work. I was able to make this part myself with this tool when the workshop and the technician who fixes these things every day couldn't. Thank you!
