Great for all day pregnancy support

I bought this at the end of my first trimester and am now 8 months pregnant. Here are my likes and dislikes about this pillow. Pros: I like to use this pillow throughout the day for back support when I'm watching TV or working on my laptop. I can use it on the couch and it's very comfortable. I usually wrap the narrow side around my back and place the thicker side on top of the laptop. Of course, there are other products that do this (circle sets for computer work), but this option seems very convenient. I can use this post pregnancy as I often enjoy working on the computer on the couch. I can also use this pillow as a nursing pillow instead of buying a separate one - seems like it can offer the same support as other nursing pillows - I think I'll find out eventually! Or finally as a child with bedtime stories. The fact that this pillow can serve multiple purposes and not just one purpose is a plus for me. Many pregnancy pillows are large, so I hesitated to buy them. I can say that if you want to use it for different purposes, it is worth buying this pillow. Cons: I bought this in hopes of getting more sleep support as my sleep was a bit restless during my pregnancy. I've tried the pillow in a variety of configurations while I sleep, all with varying degrees of success. This worked well for me during my 1st and 2nd trimester, but my 3rd trimester resulted in more back pain, so now I feel like I need other support. I tried the S-shape shown in the photos but found my feet uncomfortable to rest on, so now sometimes I just use the top (flatter) part to support my torso. I've recently tried using it as a side pillow for sleeping, squeezing in between both sides (so the pillow is horizontal, not vertical) - note this is probably only possible for someone in a large bed, it would probably be cramped press when you have a queen. This seemed to ease my back pain a bit, but I took another soft pillow and placed it in the center section to cradle in even more. Now I mainly use this pillow during the day when I'm working from home or surfing the internet or watching TV. Final Thoughts: In the end, I'm glad I bought this pillow, especially as I enjoy using it for other purposes. To be honest, I don't think a pregnancy pillow will solve all your sleep problems as you will probably wake up quite often to go to the bathroom and be uncomfortable to some extent. I wish it could relieve my nighttime back pain a little more, but I'm still glad to have it. I would definitely recommend this pillow but be aware that you may need to use the pillows you have available to complement your decor and find what sleeping experience is best for you. According to my mother, pregnancy pillows are new to our generation, which means many women have gotten through pregnancy without them. Will it solve all your sleep problems? no But does it offer a small dose of comfort and help you get a little extra support? Yes.
