Nice little scale. I've never used a kitchen scale, so I have no basis for comparison. The top of the scale is made of stainless steel, while the bottom is made of off-white plastic. All I do is touch the "on" button to turn it on, place an empty container on top and press the tare button (same button as the "on" button), so that the weight of the container is ignored, then add food . in the pack in grams was prescribed to me by a nutritionist. I use all ziploc containers the same size so I can fill my grams quickly without having to repack the container. Seems to be accurate; I put a piece of cheese on top and it matched the advertised cheese weight. I can turn it off manually or it turns off automatically after about 3 minutes. Very easy to use. Easy to clean. Powered by 3 AAA batteries which are included, batteries can be easily replaced. Very light and easy to move. Stylish, compact and beautiful. The price was good too.
