It's not cool to have a new MacBook Pro if you can't use it to charge a regular USB mouse. or even connect more than 2 things due to the limited number of ports. Therefore, there are many such extension hubs on the market. BUT IT IS DOUBLE SIDED! Why is that so important? Because then you only need ONE USB-C cable from the front of your computer to your MACBOOK Pro. That way 10 can be plugged into the BACK of this thing and you won't have a clutter of cables on your desk! Take it?! And me personally. I run a long USB-C cable from my MacBook Pro to this thing and put it on another table. so everything connects to IT and not to my computer. Simple life.
