Review on ๐Ÿ”Š Immerse in High-Fidelity Audio with Elac Uni-FI UC5 Center Speaker (Satin White) - Single Unit by Bill Russett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A perfect match for my Uni-Fi 2.0 bookshelf speakers

Elac recently announced version 2.0 of their Uni-Fi bookshelf speakers and while there aren't many reviews yet, those that do are , overwhelmingly impressed by them from credible sources. I just bought a couple of 6" Debut 2.0 speakers before the new Uni-Fi 2.0 came out, and even though the Uni cost almost twice as much as the Debuts, I was looking for a great speaker set and turned down the speakers at only $1,000 -1700 range based on Debut 2.0 reviews Since price wasn't a major deciding factor for me and reviews xd suggest Uni-Fi might be "the best bookshelf speakers under $2k" I decided to buying the kit..Mine was sourced direct from Elac. In short the new Unis 2.0 are indeed a significant improvement over the Debut 2.0 and sound fantastic I mean really fantastic I really wanted the best sound I could get and good value for money so I returned the Debuts and left Uni But to the point, as a complement to the Uni 2.0 I compared the Debut 2.0 Hub to the Uni-fi UC5 The difference in price is about $100, and while I've never heard a center speaker for $800 or more to know what the gold standard was, I can say that Uni once again comfortably beat the debut. I saved Uni and returned Debut. To be clear, I don't throw money away, and if I couldn't easily hear Uni's improvement over Debuts, I'd stick with Debuts. However, the Debut L/R/C speaker set sounded really good and if I hadn't heard of or tested the new Uni-Fi 2.0 I would have kept it and was very pleased. If you're selling a Debut for about a third of a Uni set, you're not making a bad decision by choosing Debuts. At the full suggested retail price, it might be worth purchasing the Uni kit as well. I would have no hesitation in recommending switching to the Uni setup.
