Review on ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ AmHoo Acrylic Spice Rack: Organize Your Kitchen Cabinets with 5 Tiers Seasoning Shelf by Gary Ferguson

Well made, not just for spices

This shelf is well made and easy to assemble. It is perfect for my purpose of storing paints and other materials in my studio. For other artists, it easily holds 4 oz gold paints and mediums, as well as large 8.5 oz tubes of Liquitex Basics (as shown). Medium 8 ounce gold bottles fit *very* snugly, but I don't think I'd want to stuff them in there and pull them out regularly to avoid damaging the acrylic. I will look for another solution to save them. It was well packaged in a box protected by foam packaging and well packaged and had a few extra nuts and bolts just in case. A NOTICE. The 10" size is the inside size of a single shelf. The screw heads take up some space, but if you have round items in it it doesn't matter. It sits about 10.5" outside the acrylic walls, and the nuts stick out on either side not quite a quarter inch out so it's almost 11" wide overall when you factor in the hardware. Due to the protruding nuts, they don't mate perfectly if you're looking for a seamless effect. The only thing that bothers me is the price. At the same time that I bought this I bought a couple of similar racks with smaller shelves for nail polish to hold my little paints, they're basically the same size just a few shelves smaller but they're half the price of this one. It was a steep price for a few pieces of acrylic and a handful of screws, but it was the only thing I found that served my purpose and matched the look of the other racks when o I bit the bullet and am happy in the end. Tip: Assemble the stand by placing it on a flat surface. and finger tighten the nuts lightly, then when you have all the shelves in place go back and tighten them more firmly with a small screwdriver and your fingers. I would NOT use a screwdriver and wrench or you risk over stretching and cracking the acrylic. Also the logo is etched into the acrylic but I assembled this shelf to face backwards so I don't have to look at it. :-)
