Another great AMP product

I installed it on my 2016 Ram 2500 with a 6.7" Cummins 6.5" diesel engine. Since this is made to work on either side, you MUST get all three main assembly pieces in the exact order they are installed for the side you are working on. In addition, diesel trucks have two DEF lines on the driver's side that are located in the mounting path of the bracket. But they are relatively soft and get out of the way quite easily. So I used a zip tie to pull the smaller line to the larger line. I also had the wiring harness cover lying around and I used a few small pieces that I put on top of the shackle and line to protect them from wear and tear (see photo). rests against the trailing arm mount and makes a loud bang when retracted. Not a big deal, but I can tape a piece of styrofoam to the mount to at least soften the impact when removing it. But the product works as advertised. I also have the rear stand as well as the power amps and like the other parts this is a quality product that even with relatively minor issues still gets 5 stars and I will end up getting one for the passenger side. Edit: I took 1 star off my original 5 stars because after a while I really wished it was a bit wider and further back. It's a little awkward to reach into my toolbox because it's so far forward. You could make it a few inches wider and closer to the back of the truck as that would make a big difference. But I'm left-handed, so obviously I want to use my left hand to get into the box, but I can't as easily when the toolbox lid is in the way. If I get one for the other side it probably won't be that bad as it will be easier for me to hit it with my left hand. It would be better to make it wider so that you can put both feet on it comfortably.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I'll add it later
