🔧 AMP Research 75411-01A BedStep2 Retractable Side Step for Ram 2500/3500 (2014-2018, Excludes Dually) – Black, Large Review

Works great so far. The holes in the template did not line up with the mounting bracket which was a nuisance but once adjusted it installed as expected in the tight space. Trust that it has a positive meaning.

I installed both side steps and the rear bumper step from Amp Research. I even tried to make it cheaper and bought another brand that didn't even fit. But this brand fits like a glove, looks good, is easy to use and was very easy to install myself.

Nowhere says they won't work with my longhorn stock rails. Took a step to get to the rollaway bed for my fifth wheel, it didn't fit the bill. The directions suck, I have an amp step for the back of the truck, that's great, the side step sucks.

I originally bought competitor brand Step and it wasn't supposed to be a drill app but don't be fooled it was painful and I ended up sending it back and bought AMP study. The AMP study was easy to set up and of much higher quality.

Following the instructions revealed that the bottom support bracket did not fit. I tried different configurations and they just couldn't compete with my 2018 RAM 2500 Limited. It either doesn't have a bottom support and hits the footboard, or if I adjust it so that the bottom support works, it doesn't hit the frame.

The installation is a bit tight and it took a long time to tighten some screws as the socket wrench only turned one click. The template was well received. I strongly suggest you skip the user manual and search YouTube for an installation video. It made the whole process a lot easier. Once installed everything runs very smoothly and seems safe and secure to use. Pretty expensive so I only installed one of these. I can add another one later on the other side.
