Fits in empty spaces, but the quality of the product is not very good. The front panel is a translucent black color through which the LED shines. The inscription looks normal, it just seems normal. This is the only mount I've found that has HDMI and USB for a Toyota sized blank. I think if that's what you want, you should do what you have to do. I ended up knocking out the cigarette lighter and used a better mount.
